We were completely stoked to learn that not one but two Chanels from Scream Queens will appear on American Horror Story: Cult. Emma Roberts, who was last seen in the Freak Show installment back in 2014, and Billie Lourd, a newcomer to AHS, are top-notch additions to the cast.
Roberts has a jam-packed film schedule, but Ryan Murphy shared the sweet reason she made the time to return to AHS.
"She carved it out in her movie schedule," Murphy explained during a recent Q+A session. "But it’s really fun to work with people that way. And we really encourage all of the people on our show, like, once you’re in that world, like, okay, if you want to go off and do something else, that’s great, but come back."

Sadly Roberts will only be in one episode this season, but it's definitely better than nothing. (And Lourd is slated to appear in every episode, so we'll have at least one Chanel on screen every time we tune in.)
Lena Dunham and Roberts will each appear in one episode this season and we recently got some exciting details about each actress' role. Roberts will play Serina Belinda, a newscaster who winds up in hot water after a promotion amplifies her determination to survive no matter what.
As Teen Vogue pointed out, Murphy's attitude that AHS alumni can return whenever there's time in their schedules gives us hope that Jessica Lange will be back. (Hopefully sooner rather than later.) In fact, he alluded to a Lange return during the Q+A session saying, "I'm sure she'll be back someday."
