Antebellum follows Veronica (played by Janelle Monáe) a writer, who is abducted and then mysteriously taken back in time to a 19th-century plantation and subsequently forced to work. If that isn’t already a nightmare enough, she’s got to figure out how to free herself, and everyone else, and return back to her current time period before it’s too late.
