Club Monaco isn’t known for its downtown-cool style, but the brand’s fall ’12 campaign dropped today with some seriously below-14th-Street-worthy aesthetics. Giving a nod to earlier days, its black-and-white shots show top international faces Will Eustace and Kolfinna Kristofersdottir as they rock around Brooklyn, epitomizing a gritty type of cool. The campaign was shot by British talent Venetia Scott, the go-to photog for the likes of A.P.C., Margaret Howell, and Orla Kiely.
The collection itself takes on a new direction — moving on from last fall's boho-beauty style. This season sees more color blocking and boyish edge (hence, androgynous belle Kolfinna). Reds and navy take center stage for the gals, culling inspiration from books and artwork (like Linda McCartney’s Life in Photographs and Sonia Delaunay's block prints). And for the boys? They’ve got 'em covered with classic blazers, cable-knits, and tweeds for easy dressing. Click through to check out the rest of the shots, and start making room in your closet.
