DKNY Outfits The Modern Girl Who Does It All

"This is an active girl: She does sports in the morning and works and goes out at night," said DKNY makeup artist Charlotte Willer. "All of that is in the collection, and we needed something that would pull it all together. It wouldn't make sense for her to go out with a smoky eye in the morning."
Willer and the Maybelline team worked with each girl to create a customized, polished look. "BB Cream is really our key product." says Willer. She created a filled-in brow using Maybelline Master Shape Brow Pencil and skipped eyeshadow all together, opting for Maybelline Baby Lips in Quenched on the lid to create a sheen. The lashes were coated with three coats of the brand's Mega Plush Mascara. The lips were neutral — the lipstick, dictated by each girl's skin tone, was either a color in Born With It or Totally Toffee.
The neutral feel carried out onto the nails where the Essie team kept things well groomed, clean, and pristine. "It's day four and some of the models' nails are brittle and weak, so we used a sensitive nail base coat," says nail artist Dawn Sterling. "We finished the look with one coat of Fed Up and a shiny top coat."
For the hair, Wella hairstylist Eugene Souleiman took inspiration from the girls, themselves. "The girls were beautiful and their hair was so nice," says Souleiman. "I thought to myself, what can I do to make her more beautiful. It's not a lot, let me tell you." Using Wella products, the team kept the hair clean and simple, adding a deep part. "I think it's really hard for me to make the hair look like there is no idea behind it when really, the idea is simple, "Souleiman says. "When you work with Donna, you get these amazing girls, so why not use them as inspiration?" We're with you on that one, Eugene.
