Marc Jacobs Does “Bring Your Daughter To Work Day” For Spring ’13

Though the ladylike, prim-and-proper, put-a-pointy-shoe-on-it aesthetic has basically dominated the past couple seasons, leave it up to Marc Jacobs to bring a new dimension to the look that feels un-ladylike, un-prim, and definitely un-proper. Continuing the alien mod secretary look that Miuccia Prada started last season, Marc Jacobs created a collection that featured plenty of '60s-mod-inspired skirt suits, work flats, and structured bags. Paired alongside childhood tropes like Minnie sweatshirts, clown collars, Hot Dog On A Stick-like awning stripes, and shirts that we thought were Black Flag graphic tees at first glance, it was a complete mother-daughter geek-out (set in Andy Warhol's The Factory) that we wish made up our memories of Take Your Daughter To Work Day. Sorry, Ma, but the office lounge at the city accounting firm was definitely not this chic.
