NYFW’s Craziest (& Coolest!) Beauty Trends

We must have missed a memo somewhere, because we were so not prepared for level of insanity that infused the spring ’13 beauty looks at NYFW. Using words like feral, aquatic, and chicken butt to describe their creations, the hair and makeup teams really outdid themselves in the creative corner this year.

And, while these looks all clearly involve a one-way ticket to Crazytown, surprisingly, they’re also all kind of awesome and amazing. While we can’t say we’ll be sporting Lord of the Flies war paint on our faces anytime soon, a lot of these jaw-dropping looks actually did cause us to pause and consider — maybe we could make a few of 'em work.
