It goes without saying that we are fans, nay, big fans of Topshop. Their runway show for Unique at London Fashion Week was a definite highlight, which is why we’re greeting the news of the label’s very first pre-fall collection with just a little bit of excitement. Okay, quite a lot actually.

This 21-piece evening wear collection will be sold in all of the flagship stores around the world. The colour ways are bold in their simplicity, and the fabrics are the last word in old-school luxury. Think duchess satin, cashmere, and georgette silk. It’s the cut of the clothes that peeks our interest. The boxy shirts and pin tucked cropped trousers are bang on trend for this season’s love affair with masculine tailoring. With prices starting from £60, we may just have to pop down to Oxford Street and see if that jacket looks as fabulous on us as it does on the model in the look book — just in the name of market research, of course!
