Inside The Mission’s Crazy, New Collabo Shop (Submarine Included!)

If you thought Valencia Street between 14th and 15th couldn't get any better, the addition of a rad new shop called Voyager would prove you very wrong. The founder of Lower Haight's Revolver has joined forces with Ocean Beach's iconic Mollusk Surf Shop and the Michael Rosenthal Art Gallery to create a multi-themed—but still somehow totally cohesive—surfy-chic boutique. The 2,000-square-foot space evokes visions of the best weekend ever in Big Sur, and provides all the supplies you'd need for one: 6 Shore Road tunics, Maison Scotch crinkly-chic khaki pants and jackets, St. James stripe-y tops, hand-loomed Pendleton blankets, Collina Strada bags, and J Shoes perfect for a gussied-up dinner at Nepenthe. In the other-worldly submarine room (Mollusk's shop-in-shop), one can even peek into a periscope to see a video loop of a sweet, never-ending surf ride. And to make the shop even cooler, Pendleton's amazing Portland Collection is said to be arriving at the venue soon.
