Acne X Mr Porter Create The Ultimate Guys’ Formal Dressing Collection

For some guys, the closest they will ever get to donning evening wear is when they're forced to rent a tux for a wedding or they're planning their Halloween costume (we're looking at you, Jamie Hince). We've got nothing against going casual, and while those dress pants you've worn since your college graduation are, um, charming… we think it's about time you got your big boy life on. Thankfully, one of our favorite menswear designers, Acne, has teamed up with dapper dude e-commerce site Mr Porter to create an exclusive evening wear collection that will have even the most reluctant of men rocking a cummerbund.

The 14 piece capsule collection was designed to be a complete wardrobe, but it also works well as separate pieces. (Guys, it even has a T-shirt.) Classic tuxedo shapes in wool and rich holiday-hued velvet (digging the cranberry!) accompany bespoke jacquard fabrics and silks for a truly refined look, and we're digging the one-stop-shop aspect to the collab. Mr Porter's Buying Director, Toby Bateman, says the range "provides everything a man could need where evening attire is required," and, indeed, from bow-ties to shoes, it seems like a no-brainer for dudes clueless about dressing up and those Beau Brummell types who won't have to click the mouse very far to grab an entire dandified look.
