ADAM Goes American Indian For Fall, Plus Win His Crystal Beaded Dress

A small exhibition at the much overlooked National Museum of the American Indian , all the way downtown, served as the inspiration for ADAM's fall '11 collection. Designer Adam Lippes takes his fans from of Alaska to Argentina, with a runway show inspired by the natives in both continents. The result is a study in indigenous culture, sometimes obvious (a raccoon coat or a patterned wool sweater) and sometimes downplayed (a lacey black dress and a cut-out cashmere sweater) that would work well on Madison Avenue. We're also sweating a sexy sleek jumper, a delicate gold sequined dress in a bold diamond pattern, and a pleated below-the-knee silk skirt in a faded pink. And while fall's not yet available, we're giving you your ADAM fix with a gorgeous giveaway—one reader will score a crystal beaded dress with a chiffon skirt from spring '11, which we think would make a great alternative to a wedding dress, or make a grand entrance at your next ball.
