This Rug Line Might Be The ONE

The second scariest home decision (after choosing a sofa) has to be picking out a floor covering. I've spent the last 10 months hemming and hawing over rugs like I was choosing to move continents. And, in my defense, eye-catching, durable designs can easily go for $500 for a 5-by-8 rectangle. If I'm laying down that kind of cash (or even if I'm not), I want a piece that I love and that'll hold up for as long as I'm able to love it. It's kind of like buying a leather jacket: Going bold with a bright hue could limit all future choices. On the flip side, something too neutral could get dingy with heavy foot traffic. You can see how I've gotten myself a bit paralyzed, here. But, at the end of the day, it's just a rug — and I need one.
Well, I don't want to rush into anything, but I just came across a Brooklyn-based textile company that might be the one. Aelfie's creations boast vibrant hues and graphic prints that encourage my wild (decorating) side — they certainly make me rethink going for yet another chevron piece. Click through for my five favorites, and help me narrow down a choice in the comments below. For my next commitment, I'm gonna start saving for the brand's fluffy, dyed sheepskins.
