Alexa Chung Has Dating Issues, Too

There hasn’t been a day that has gone by this year when we haven’t gasped over a picture, snorted out loud over a tweet, or gazed longingly at a beautiful Instagram pic from Ms. Alexa Chung. Seriously, that woman has class. Her social media channels are a veritable hot bed of dry wit, gorgeous pics, and insider details. And we can't get enough.

The DJ, author, model, presenter, and contributing editor to Vogue U.K. took the time out of her presumably hectic schedule to shoot the cover story for the November issue of Flare magazine. While walking around the American Museum of Natural History, the fashion phenomenon spoke candidly about what is going on in her world right now. In short, rather a lot, as Chung explains: “I’m someone who is naturally predisposed to boredom. That’s why I have so many jobs.”

When Chung isn’t launching her first book or modelling for magazines, she also finds time to give her friends dating tips to the detriment of her own love life, "There’s a richness of incredibly intelligent, talented and fucking interesting women in New York and far fewer men.... I’m always helping out girlfriends and then I’m wondering, who’s going to look after me? But it’s because I seem like I have my shit together. That’s not necessarily the case."

As for hitting a rather big birthday milestone recently (Chung is 30), she’s taking it all in her stride, “I went out with a 40-year-old when I was 19 and since then I don’t really think much about numbers meaning anything...But I do feel like maybe I’ve neglected to work on developing emotionally and taking care of myself.” Seems like the next chapter of this style icon's life is about to begin.
