Donna Karan Backstage Was An Elegance Overload (And We Loved It!)

Donna Karan never shies away from elegance, but she manages to do it in the easiest of way. At the gorgeous, brick-walled Cedar Lake Ballet Theatre on West 26th street, the look was prim and elegant, where models had hair pulled into tight, voluminous buns, lips painted pastel pink, and eyes accentuated with a rusty peach shadow in lieu of the dark liner and smokey eyes we've seen at so many other shows. Faces were perfect punctuation for the luxurious, neutral palette of the collection, not to mention Erickson Beamon's specially designed pearl necklaces, adorned before the models stripped off their bright protective hair wraps and hit the runway.
