Black-Tie Style: 6 Frocks We Want To Rock From This Glam Gala

It's not everyday that you're asked to close your eyes and breathe deep at an NYC gala, but that's exactly what happened Tuesday night. The occasion? Bent On Learning's annual benefit, a charity which helps fund yoga classes for urban youth in Big Apple schools. The event honored the famed Ashtanga yoga instructor Eddie Stern, as well as The David Lynch Foundation, a nonprofit that supports Transcendental Meditation in hospitals, prisons, shelters, and the like. As you can imagine, the night was one big zen zone — we've never seen the party-circuit set quite so calm — ah, serenity!
While moving videos and testimonials spoke to the transformative power of all the "oms" for our city's underprivileged students, apparently stretching is also good for the sartorial senses. We spotted a clutch of choice frocks on some of our favorite It Girls, from a Misha Nonoo creation on The Glamourai's Kelly Framel to Annelise Peterson's plunging and dramatic Bibhu Mohapatra gown to an interesting Joseph Altuzarra number on Vogue's Chloe Malle.
