Granted, there's a lot of fine fashion out there in the Instagrammed world. Heck, sometimes it seems that after cats, dinner, and sunsets, the beloved image-sharing app was created specifically to let the world know what you're wearing, coveting, or collecting. But it's always been tough to get all that style sorted in one account or hashtag. Bummer.
However, there's a fun little experiment in social style-gathering that we've had our eyes on for a while. A|X Armani Exchange whipped up the hashtag #DressedFor and the accompanying addictive website, so that you and millions of other Instagrammers could tell the world what you're...y'know...dressed for. The results are pretty darn impressive — thousands and thousands of crowd-sourced shots from fans of fashion, high and low, eager to show off their threads. Frankly, we wish we had thought of this ourselves (#sojealous.)
Now, naturally, we had to create a lil' slideshow of our favorite pics (we're good like that) to demonstrate the stylish upper limits on #DressedFor. But thanks to A|X, our list is more than just a simple top 10. The winner — who you'll see at the end of the slideshow wins more than just bragging rights — is taking home a gift card for $500 of A|X Armani Exchange (#evenmorejealous).
So, flip through the best-dressed people who tagged up their looks, scan through #DressedFor to find your own faves, and remember to add #DressedFor to your shot the next time you Instagram some style goodness. The world (including your Refinery29) is watching.
