Most of us probably don't own a gallery of contemporary paintings. (It's okay, we'll get there one day!) But, in the meantime, a new collaboration promises to appease our art-loving hearts until we can afford the sort that hangs on the wall.
Enter designer Elena Ghisellini and Swiss artist Blanda. The duo, brought together by boutique owner Elodie Khayat of Elodie K., just released a beautiful line of hand-painted bags to commemorate the store's one-year anniversary. This marriage of accessories and art certainly looks like love to us. The zip-ups feature designs of haunting women and other intricately-detailed illustrations. All 12 bags are available to purchase exclusively in-store and online at Elodie K. "The process was about taking risks and overcoming fear," Blanda says. "I want this wearable art to trigger conversation and empower the person who will ultimately carry it around, knowing they own a completely unique piece of luxury fashion and art."
Art you can carry with you wherever you go? We'll take it! (Actually, we'll take all 12.) Click through for a peek at six of the totable collectibles, up ahead.
