Boom Boom Is Back! Celeb Pix From NYC’s Coolest Late Night Spot

The Boom Boom Room is back! Well, kinda. Taking a page out of Prince's playbook, the late-night lounge at the Standard Hotel has been re-christened (the spot formerly known as) the Boom Boom Room, but the name-change did little to dampen last night's reopening, hosted by André Balazs. If more Fashion Week heavy hitters could fit into one space post-midnight, we'd eat our hat: There were models absolutely everywhere—Shalom Harlow, Naomi Campbell, Angela Lindvall, Jessica Stam; Celebs—Russell Simmons, Diane Kruger, Chace Crawford, Courtney Love; And, of course, the people that are so cool they don't fit into a category crew—Terence Koh, Lauren Santo Domingo, Julia Restoin Roitfeld, Dasha Zhukova. Oh did we mention the mini Lord of the Rings reunion of Liv Tyler and Elijah Wood? Plus, just in time to perk up some especially enthusiastic party-goers, around 3 A.M. Kanye West gave an impromptu live performance on top of the bar. We hate to be cheesy, but, c'mon—that's really starting Fashion Week off with a....boom.
