This Cartier Dinner Felt Worthy Of The Tank Anglaise (& Poppy!)

In a celebration fit for the glamorous likes of Poppy Delevigne, Hanneli Mustaparta, and of course, Emmanuel Perrin, Cartier gathered its nearest and dearest to fete the launch of the latest Tank Anglaise watch this past Wednesday.

And, while we thought we knew everything there was to know about this classic staple (It's iconic! It's chic! It's timeless!), ambling through the cases upon cases of historic timepieces proved us wrong. Now, with their latest iteration, boasting glittering diamonds and shiny gold, the watch takes on a glamorous new feel that we're thoroughly charmed by. So, showing up to the party in honor of the wrist candy we'd skip on our rent for (for about a year), particularly when it involved a delectable spread by chef April Bloomfield (of The Spotted Pig), was a no-brainer. True, we may not have walked away with the watch, but we definitely have a new appreciation for the English.
