This summer has been less summery than most. At least that's been the case at R29's New York City headquarters, where 90-degree-plus days have been few and far between for all of June, July, and August. It's likely the reason we've noticed celebrities like Olivia Palermo, Taylor Swift, and Jesse J wearing leather outfits as if it were already fall. And, we can't blame them — best to exploit the weird-weather pattern while we can, right?

Don't get us wrong, we've still managed to clock in plenty of beach time and have even emerged with a respectable tan, but it hasn't truly been H-O-T hot.
