Cine-Short Screenings Bring The Fashion-Forward Film Set To The Standard

Last night, L.A. tastemakers rolled up to The Standard in Downtown L.A. for the debut of the first Cine-Short screening featuring Australian director Daniel Askill. Cine-Short is a new, ongoing series at the Downtown Standard that provides up-and-coming Los Angeles filmmakers with the opportunity to get exposure and showcase their work. L.A.’s best-dressed came out to celebrate the short-film festival, including The Selby competition winners, Mark and Eileen Wiesmayr, choreographer Ryan Heffington, and Monster Children's Lucy Goodwin. And in between screenings and a set by DJ Micah, conversation turned to hopes of a feature-length film in Askill’s future, as these stylish shorts were just too...well, short.
