Often when we watch movies, we can't help but hit pause every now and then just to take in the amazing onscreen interiors. Set and production designers really are the quiet heroes of the film industry. From lampshades and statement rugs to striking wallpaper — some cinematic compositions are just so relatable, timeless, and spot-on.
So, we examined the interiors in seven of our cult-favorite films set in each of seven decades, from the '20s through the '80s. From the haunted and the ornate to straight-up Old Hollywood glamour, we broke down each aesthetic and included a few modern pieces you can nab to bring the looks home.
