Earlier this year, I was lucky enough to attend the BITE Silicon Valley conference — a meeting of food and tech minds to discuss looming issues around the food system. The best and brightest were there, speaking and debating on panels that were totally fascinating. But, do you know where my attention was focused? Entirely on cookie dough. A vegan cookie dough made by Hampton Creek, to be exact.
This cookie dough was so damn good, friends. Usually when someone says the word "vegan" (especially in conjunction with the word "dessert") my brain starts flashing my desktop's wheel of death and my eyes glaze over. But Hampton Creek proved me wrong, and now I am on a mission to spread the news.
