Fashion has an amazing ability to invoke fantasies and take us to faraway lands, cerebrally speaking, with just one garment. And, Cuyana’s latest fall collection is no exception to that reverie-inducing ability. The locally designed, eco-friendly line is launching its brand-new duds today, along with a dreamy lookbook that has us rethinking how we spend our weekends.
This season, the line imported luxe fabrics from the Andes Mountains in Peru — primarily made from alpacas with unbeatable fiber density to ensure super-soft pieces that we’ll be clinging to during these looming chilly months. “Our fall collection is inspired by the season's perfect blend of elegance and warmth. The pieces embody classic shapes and silhouettes,” explains the line’s co-founder and CEO, Karla Gallardo.
When it comes to the sartorial snaps, the lookbook calls to mind a Napa getaway, with the model frolicking amongst vineyards, lounging on rustic porches, and hanging out lakeside — all in the oversized sweaters, capes, and scarves we come to love every autumn. Dying to see it for yourself? We've got an exclusive look right here! Just take a peek after the jump, and go on a quick mental vacay while you're at it.
