Party Pix: TEN Underwear At Opening Ceremony

Humberto Leon, Carol Lim and company hosted a little Sunday soirée last night at Opening Ceremony Part Deux to celebrate the launch of star stylist Daphne Javitch's new underwear line, TEN, an exclusive to the boutique (note the date: 10/10/10). And there was clearly a reason to rejoice—on hand were several sexy yet demure styles from the collection, plus a preview of things to come from what may just be our new go-to brand for..well...you know. The Kanon Organic Vodka and passionfruit cocktails only fueled our enthusiasm—leading us to corner Javitch for a slightly tipsy chat—"Last night was a dreamy blur," Javitch said this morning (tell us about it). She explained that underwear should be "something secret and fun," claiming as her inspirations her past career as a costume designer, the films of Jean-Luc Godard, and sirens of the 60's and 70's like Jane Birkin, Goldie Hawn and Romy Schneider. Surely she also gets some ideas from the fashion-influencers that were on hand, including Gaga's Creative Director Nicola Formichetti, Suno's Erin Beatty, author Jonathan Ames, artist Matthew Ronay, and actress Katherine Waterston. The undergarments came in the cutest airmail envelopes we've ever seen—so cute, in fact, that we almost thought about secreting one out to express-post to our hot neighbor—he's a perfect TEN.
The limited preview collection is available now at Opening Ceremony New York and LA, while the entire range debuts in December.
