Breaking News: David Gandy Has A Sense Of Humour

David G 300 400
Ah, David Gandy. The simple Essex boy who started out winning a humble modelling competition on morning TV before stealing the hearts of some Sicilian princes (a.k.a. Dolce & Gabbana) and swiftly conquering the fashion kingdom. His rise to supermodel stardom reads like a modern-day fairytale. Or it least it does in our heads.
But far from just basking in his glory as the stallion of glossy campaign ads, Mr. Gandy is now giving back. Last night, he announced his new role as fashion ambassador for Red Nose Day 2013. "After working briefly with Comic Relief on the Absolutely Fabulous comedy sketch with Kate Moss and Stella McCartney last year, I decided to launch the 'Blue Steel Appeal' to fundraise for Red Nose Day through fashion," he said.

David will fundraise with a series of fashion events involving his fash-pack friends, including fellow model Poppy Delevingne, photographer Rankin, and the British Fashion Council's Caroline Rush. Just to prove his credentials for the new gig, David celebrated the launch by hosting a private screening of Zoolander at The Hospital Club. Things kicks off on March 7 with an eBay auction of 'money-can't-buy' fashion swag.
"I hope that the fashion industry will come together, have some fun, show off their best Blue Steel looks and raise money at the same time", he said. We'll show you ours if you show us yours.
