Need A Weekend Travel Look? Copy Diane Kruger

If we're gonna be honest, we spent a lot of time staring at this photo before figuring out what exactly Diane Kruger was wearing. That's not to say we didn't love it immediately (we did). But, what's going on up top was initially somewhat hard to read. At first, we thought Ms. Jackson Kruger was wearing a powder-blue cami-and-cardi combo (also known as a #twinset), but then we figured it out — she's repurposing her jacket as a top. And, though it may be a little too stuffy on the subway to bundle up with layers, we love the idea for a weekend travel outfit. She was, after all, spotted in the airport.

So, if you're going out of town this weekend (or, you know, anywhere), do as Diane did. Go vintage-inspired on bottom with a flowy, printed skirt that will keep you comfortable in the changing climates of planes, trains, and automobiles. Then, balance out the feminine bottom with a boxy jacket on top. It's a great way to diversify a look from the shirt you'll be wearing underneath (yes, you still need one).
