Here's the thing about holiday decorations — they overstay their welcome. December shows up in a cloud of paper snowflakes and cardboard snowmen, wreaths and glittery stars. At first, it's wonderful. But, you get busy, life takes over, and before you know it, April's here — and your living room wall is still wishing people "Happy Holidays." This year, it will be different. We're tapping into L.A.-based designer Brooke Woosley of Twenty Two Hours to come up with an easy DIY decoration that will look just as good nestled on your holiday tablescape as it will on a side table in your living room long after party season is over.
With her background in industrial design, Woosley's known for designing whimsical light fixtures. So, naturally, we asked for a unique DIY that lights up our rooms for the holiday season and then some. Ahead, we load up a Ford Fusion with plywood, brass, and a hard-working power drill from the hardware store before heading back to Woosley's workshop to put this lamp together.
