Nothing gets us amped up for warmer temps like the thought of concert season creeping up. And when it comes to our local music scene, we’re ready to hit the nearest venue (the Bay does boast some of the best!) at the drop of a hat. Luckily, the much-loved indie event peeps (((folkYEAH!))) are back at it and featuring two outstanding acts this Thursday.
Vetiver and S.F.-based Dominant Legs (an R29 fave) will play The New Parish in Oakland (it’s worth the trip, trust) for a festive night of folk and synth-pop beats. It’s sure to be an evening of hip harmonies and for $15, it’s not going to break the bank, either. See you there? We thought so.
When: Thursday, March 8, 8 p.m. doors, 9 p.m. performance
Where: The New Parish, 579 18th Street (between San Pablo Avenue and Jefferson Street), Oakland; 510-444-7474.
