Sweet Home Tips From Former Domino Editor Deborah Needleman

Design obsessives everywhere heaved a collective sigh when Domino magazine shuttered in 2009. Well, first, they sighed — then they fanatically archived any old copies they could find. Don't believe it? The debut issue is currently priced at $54.99 on eBay. And who do we have to thank for all those glossy pages of inspiring — but achievable — home ideas? Founding editor Deborah Needleman, who stopped by Room & Board last night for a book signing and cocktail party, to celebrate her latest project, the cute and colorful design guide The Perfectly Imperfect Home: How to Decorate & Live Well.
Inside the book, Needleman's authoritative but friendly voice tells you how to make every inch of your home feel like it belongs to you and reflects who you are (even if you're renting!). Paired with charming illustrations by watercolor artist Virginia Johnson, the pages are as pretty as they are practical. To illustrate our point, we've picked some fave tips from the book — click through to pick up some style secrets for your own pad.
