For most of us, hobbies like scrapbooking and singing into the hairbrush never quite made it past the bedroom doors. But, for Dum Dum Girls' Dee Dee Penny, her love of songwriting and performing, well, took her all the way to the big stage.
Born Kristin Gundred, she actually recorded under Dum Dum Girls as a solo artist for two years before joining up with Jules Medeiros, Sandra Vu, and Malia James in 2010. After producing a handful of EPs and full-length albums, along with hit singles like "Jail La La" and "Lord Knows," the girls are taking a much-deserved (and needed) break. But, they're not just idling around. In fact, they're readying themselves for a run at the end of the year and gave us a behind-the-scenes look.
