Eel & Ermine’s Spring Lookbook Hits The Nail On The Head!

After we broke the news that the cocktail-and-bridal-dress extraordinaires behind Eel & Ermine were planning on packing up their Presidio Heights haven and high-tailing it to the Mission, we knew it was only a waiting game before more exciting tidbits rolled in. The design duo, Elinor Diamond and Evelyne Aikman, didn't disappoint: They're hitting us with two more fun updates! First, their spankin’-new glistening beacon of sleek wares website is ready and raring to go, an elegant update from the previous version. We have to say, we’re stoked to finally see Eel & Ermine on the web in such a major way.

For their second act, the gals pulled together an inspiring lookbook that has our mouths agape. Seriously, this spring/summer collection hits all the right sartorial notes — we’re ready to put that monkey-print, Peter Pan blouse in our closets, like now. “We're always looking for ways to create clothing with clean lines and a slightly vintage feel, but we didn’t want the clothes crossing into the kitsch or costume zone,” says Diamond. “We played around with proportions and added hints of flare like gold silk-lame, and metallic lizard brocade. Essentially, we design what we wish people would wear. Metallic-gator cigarette pants might not be for everyone…but two girls can hope.” Here’s to hoping — and ogling!
