As much as we'd like to believe that the hair and makeup pros arrive backstage at Fashion Week and simply whip up an amazing look on the fly, which just happens to perfectly complement the clothes, the reality of the situation is that there's a whole lot of prep involved.

The designer, stylist, lead makeup artist, hair stylist, and assorted PR teams all meet to do a test and decide on a certain look for each show. We had the chance to witness the show test for BCBG and it was certainly something to behold.
