We did the research. We read the invitations. We made a list, and ultimately we gave you our picks from Fashion's Night Out's best parties. But as any party-hopper knows, the best part of the night is the unexpected. So, despite having our own itinerary Friday eve, we also decided to go with the flow—our mantra was simply "TGIF FNO." We hit our own DVF bash first (and had a lovely chat with the designer herself), before bundling into a borrowed Volkswagen Touareg and hitting the uptown scene. We watched Judah Friedlander play poker with Molly Simms and Devon Aoki at Valentino. Courtney Love tried on ball gowns at Valentino. Jessica Szohr and Brad Goreski vogued-it up at Lanvin, and a whole lot of karaoke made Bergdorf's sound like the set of Slumdog Millionaire—and, yes, Naewm and Ranjana Khan did perform Jai Ho complete with a crew of Indian dancers. But, the lesson learned was the best action may just be on the street, if that face paint is anything to go by.
