With all the turkey, mashed potatoes, and grandma’s famous yams you ate on Thanksgiving – not to mention all that Black Friday shopping — you’d think the 25th of November was a day for celebrating a lack of self-control. And we've been feeling a little bummed ever since.
Luckily for Palm Beach, Ferragamo has put an end to all those post-Thanksgiving blues. This year the Paradise Fund teamed up with the infamous shoe label for the first time ever, to sponsor its highly anticipated Paradise Casino gala, the It Event of the season for young philanthropists, benefitting St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. So, while you were fighting off fellow deal seekers at the Gap, attendees were getting decked out in Ferragamo’s dazzling, 1930s-inspired Resort '12 collection.
The aim of the Paradise fund is to educate the Palm Beach community on humanitarian issues throughout the world and, if their web site is any indication, they have a great time doing it! At the very least, they most certainly put our bloated, Black Friday, post-Thanksgiving festivities to shame — and we have the pictures to prove it.
