Listen Up: First City Fest May Give Outside Lands A Run For Its Money

main
In case you haven’t noticed, we’re officially in the thick of festival season! And, if Napa Valley’s Bottle Rock wasn’t enough to satisfy your cravings — don't fret! Northern California has more forthcoming music shindigs, including a brand-spankin' new one by the shore.
First City Festival, presented by Goldenvoice, will fall a few weeks after Golden Gate Park’s storied Outside Lands and right before Treasure Island, and boasts quite the impressive lineup. Hitting the seaside city of Monterey, the event will feature bold-liners like Modest Mouse and Passion Pit to MGMT and Beach House to S.F.’s own Toro y Moi.

Intrigued? This music bash will go down August 24 and 25, and will be accompanied by rides and games — think carnival-esque only better, with rad beats. Okay, yes, we’re excited for the 30-plus bands playing, but don’t even get us started on the street style! Tickets go on sale Friday, May 31. Until then, see the entire lineup here and below!
