There are so many benefits to capturing a first look — when
the betrothed see each other before the ceremony — that it has pretty much
become standard in wedding photography. I prefer a subtle, not
overly-choreographed first look, with only the couple shot in an area that's as
private as possible.
I’ve found people tend not to react as
honestly when they feel they are being watched. The groom is usually positioned
first, set up to look away from where the bride will be entering the room. In
this case, I loved the white wall at Ojai Valley Inn, which provided a clean,
neutral background. Click on to see the sweet moment for yourself.
