Plait love runs deep at Refinery29, so it's safe to say we've always got braids on the brain. But, with many of our staffers (and the world, if our Instagram feeds are any indication) recently engaged or about to tie the knot, we've got weddings in our heads, too. And, being the good DIY girls that we are, we're of course thinking of all the ways we can gussy up our strands for those impending nuptials.
Flowers always come to mind when we think wedding hair — we have images of barefoot, boho brides frolicking Free People-style in a field of wildflowers — but in practice, florals are a little hard to manage. We either can't get the damn blooms to stay in place, or we wind up looking like Eliza Doolittle had her way with our manes (pre-Henry Higgins, that is).

Fortunately, we have the charming and wonderful Vidal Sassoon Pro Series ambassador Ben Skervin on speed dial. Once we told him exactly what we were after, he promised us that, yes, there is a way to pull it off, and, best of all, it's really quite simple. Watch as he instructs our own Alex McGinn on how to master the flower-adorned braid with ease.
