It’s always sad to see the weekend come to a close. The short-lived mini-vacay seemed to zip by per usual, this week. And while this Friday night might be the furthest thing from your mind right now — plotting your itinerary is actually a great Monday morning distraction.
Plus, it's somewhat necessary, given how fast tickets are likely to sell out for the super-cool pop-up fete, Future Shorts Festival, which highlights films from around the globe, and will make a one-night stop at Mission eatery, Foreign Cinema, this Friday.

The screening includes a 10 p.m. cocktail reception at Laszlo Bar, followed by 90 minutes of short-film fun in the courtyard, including a new and unreleased Spike Jonze flick and Sam Taylor-Wood’s buzzy piece, “Love You More”. And in case that isn't enough to tempt you, at the end guests can weigh in and vote on their faves. But you'd better hurry and reserve a spot soon, because space is sure to fill up fast.
When: Friday, March 30, 10 p.m.
Where: Foreign Cinema, 2534 Mission St (between 21st and 22nd streets); 415-648-7600.
