Gap Redefines The Classics For Fall & Inspires Us To Plan A Mall Trip

As one of our go-to shops for classic pieces we can always use, Gap doesn't disappoint with its fall '12 collection. The line gives us exactly what our wardrobes will need next season (and for not-so-many dollar signs).
Even without former creative director Patrick Robinson at the helm (they're hiring, people!), Gap still manages to reproduce timeless pieces updated just enough to keep the final effect low-key and no-fuss. You can always count on a striped shirt, a perfect trench coat, on-trend jeans and button-ups for days. But, what stands out most in this lookbook: the surprising new classics (because if Gap is doing them, they're definitely classic). We're talking printed cropped pants, the drop-waist denim dress, and loose-fitting boyfriend jeans and khakis. While we don't want to toot our own horn here, we definitely predicted some of these trends would make it big and Gap, you've just confirmed it!
