You’d be hard-pressed to turn a corner in S.F. without stumbling upon a souped-up truck of some sort. From pizza parlors to boutiques on wheels, everyone is cashing in on this vehicular phenomenon. But, it’s about dang time someone pays homage to the OG of mangia mobiles — the ice cream truck. Just hearing a snippet of its enchanting melodies is enough to spark instant childhood nostalgia … and hunger pangs.
So, when we heard that S.F.-based sorbet company Garden Creamery was bringing it back to basics, we about flipped. Founded and hand-churned (props) by Erin Lang, this ice-cream parlor on wheels definitely caters to our sweet-loving needs. Garden Creamery gives the ol’ ice-cream man a run for his money, with flavors like French-pressed coffee, almost too-cute-to-eat sprinkle popsicles, and nom-worthy gelato-stuffed sandwiches. It’s safe to say we’re addicted to the yummy treats. Click through to meet Lang, peep the pretty truck, and find out where to buy the delectable treats!
