L.A.’s Homegrown Talent Kills It At GenArt’s Fresh Faces in Fashion Show

Someone call a doctor, we're still trying to catch our breath from last night's GenArt Fresh Faces in Fashion show! The event, held at the Vibiana, gave guests a sneak peek at a trio of up-and-coming L.A. designers that are sure to be the next Rodarte, Raquel Allegra, or Vena Cava (all Angelenos who got their start thanks to GenArt!).
With coifs created by the fine folks at Moroccanoil, each look that marched down the runway gave us goosebumps. It's more than just our hometown pride talking when we say that the third floor racks at Barneys are totally in Korovilas' future (that lace number and those etherall headbands need to make an appearance in our wardrobes!). As for Crybaby Presents, who doesn't love a good crop top — especially one paired with a retro skirt and quirky accessories? And, Shaina Mote struck a balance between the two coasts, making for one stellar collection that could feel at home in SoCal or NYC.
Here's a look at our 14 fave snaps from the super-stylish evening. We hope you're taking mental notes — these garment geniuses are going to be household names before you know it!
