It's been a while since we last heard from electronic producer Gold Panda (unless you count the sample on Charli XCX's "You (Ha Ha Ha)"), but now we can safely say the wait has been worth it.
Like 2010's Lucky Shiner, which remains on heavy rotation in our personal iTunes libraries, Trust is another subtly beautiful journey through the U.K. musician's entropic world. While his typical mix of eastern melodies, hypnogogic loops, and subtle rhythmic shifts are all still present, the title track introduces some low-key jazz elements that mark new territory for the artist. All four cuts are gorgeous in their own ways, and all deserve your time with a good pair of headphones. Or better yet, buy the EP and take it for a walk in nature where it belongs.
