First Look: Good Stock, Piedmont Avenue’s Stellar New Space

Sure, they’re many areas in Oakland getting a lot of buzz — namely Uptown and Temescal — but, if you ask us, we think Piedmont Avenue is where it’s at, too. Not only is the cool stretch of Piedmont home to a flurry of fantastic restaurants, but its retail scene is seriously on the rise (hello, Issues and Mercy Vintage!). And one quaint store that truly defines the meaning of hidden gem (it literally was kinda hidden) is Good Stock.

Well, the dainty shop has moved up the road, making its way to a spacious new spot, joining the rest of the fun eateries and establishments. A retail endeavor from Dana Olson, this decorative-meets-rustic destination carries luxe faves like Clare Vivier bags, Marisa Haskell jewels, and Rodin fragrances. Um, dangerous!
