Our nation's capital has served as a launchpad for many a talented creative — from actors and artists to designers and dancers, we know a wunderkind when we see one. So, we were pretty stoked to see that jewelry designers (and D.C. natives) Krys DeMauro and Caroline Mullen have launched a new summer collection for their line, Icarus & Co.

Taking a few cues from outer space, the summer '12 collection, "Constellations," features bracelets, rings, and a necklace with a ghostly, delicate quality.
