Our Style Editor Takes Iconic Denim Looks To A Whole New Level

You know those GUESS ads — the gorgeous girls, the windblown hair, and the kind of jeans you just want to live in? Of course, you do. We all do. The iconic imagery GUESS has been creating since 1981 (featuring femmes like Claudia Schiffer and our very own editor-at-large, Drew Barrymore) has proven you don’t have to be naked to be sexy, and denim really does go with everything. So, when we found out the new GUESS Originals collection was all about reimagined vintage styles like high-waisted jeans and overalls, we jumped at the chance to participate.
But, if you see the romance and mystery of these photos as unattainable or illusory, you're in good company. Our model and stylist for this story, style editor Annie Georgia Greenberg, was daunted by the prospect of filling such big sexy shoes. After playing with a few of the pieces, Annie used 'em to create looks that fit her personal denim style —"easy, basic, and comfortable" — inspired by the brand's iconic images. Click through to see the results for yourself, but we're already convinced: With the right attitude and the right denim, you can be your own version of the GUESS girl.
