Imagined Conversations Between Karl Lagerfeld & Co.

There may be few physical gifts that we could bestow upon Kaiser Karl on the day on his (maybe?) 81st birthday. Heck, we're sure he's already got the new iPhone. But, as the special day of the man who's stood at the helm of Chanel since '83, this occasion deserves some extra attention. Preferably with something money can't buy: friends.

So, in honor of Lagerfeld's birthday, we've dug into our old albums and retrieved heartfelt moments between the birthday boy and some of his nearest and dearest. And, since he is such a quotable character, we've tapped into our inner Lagerfelds to craft what we believe he would have said. We only hope we captured at least a bit of his wit.
