So while most of New York’s fashion types were dashing between shows, bitching about seating allocations and generally grumbling about being “sooooo busy”, Kate kicked back in front of the tennis. And the football.
On Saturday Kate hung out with family and friends at Brother Jimmy’s Union Square on Saturday to watch the University of Michigan’s football game—before heading to a barbeque, Page Six reports.
She also spent time at the weekend courtside at the US Open with Karolina Kurkova, where the pair could be seen drinking Champagne from golden goblets (don’t you?) and chowing down on meaty sandwiches.
We’re not sure whether this fashion week shun is an effort to lay low after claims that she’s got a little, well, overexposed with all the publicity of recent months, or simply because sometimes—just sometimes—hanging out with your friends is a lot more fun than fashion week. Either way her decision to take time out was an excellent one: the University of Michigan slammed Notre Dame 41-30.
