When a beauty product elicits enough buzz to reach sell-out status a mere week after launching, we can usually pinpoint the cause: savvy marketing, a celeb shoutout, or a popular vlogger's seal of approval. But, Kypris — a newish holistic, organic range of oils and skin potions — has none of those tricks up its sleeve, and yet it's flying off the shelves at Beautyhabit, according to the e-tailer. What gives?
Originally launched in 2012 in the integrative-medicine market, the line was then re-developed and quietly premiered as a luxury beauty collection last summer. Its current portfolio boasts three beauty elixirs — active, essential-oil blends with formulas for healing, moisturizing, and brightening — plus three serums for clarity, radiance, and smoothing. Kypris just started rolling out to high-end retailers: Beautyhabit announced the line to its customers just last week, and a rep says it's been very well-received.
That might be a bit of an understatement: From what we've heard, it's doing gangbusters. It's easy to see why. Beautiful packaging, top-quality organic ingredients, and dreamy formulations make this one of those rare brands that walks the fine line of organic, luxurious, and efficacious. All of those reasons have gotten people spreading the word about this under-the-radar gem.
We'd love to tell you that all the hype is legit, and that this is beauty manna from heaven, but we can't exactly verify it yet. The line has been so popular, even we can't get our hands on it. A request to Beautyhabit for samples to test was met with the apologetic response that there were none available, and that Kypris was also running low and waiting for more to be produced.
Last we heard from Beautyhabit, the retailer was expecting a shipment that had been ordered earlier this month. We checked online, and it looks like there's been a restock, so if your interest has been piqued, now's the time to get yourself a bottle. We've already put in our request for Moonlight Catalyst and Antioxidant Dew: Here's hoping they don't get snapped up before we can get our mitts on them.
Kypris Antioxidant Dew, $60, available at Beautyhabit; Kypris Moonlight Catalyst, $70, available at Beautyhabit; Kypris Clearing Serum, $55, available at Beautyhabit.
