Designed, sampled, and produced in L.A., Popomomo's (which stands for post-postmodern movement) first resort collection is full of simple shapes with unexpected details and pops of color. Using sustainable and organic fabrics like cupro, an eco-alternative to silk, and Tencel denim, designer Lizz Wasserman sexes up dresses and jackets with back and shoulder cut-outs. Embellishments like a string of pennants hand-printed at the bottom of the cream dress and fringed flair on a LBD amp up easy-breezy playfulness of it all. Proof they really do everything they can to be green—they even bee-bop around L.A. in a waste veggie oil powered car.
