Whether you're a casual shopper or have a fashion fixation, you know it's just as easy to fall in love with designer pieces as it is to suffer heartbreak at the hands of their high-end prices. When the mass-market collaborations come around, it's like a once-in-a-lifetime chance — until the sizes turn out to only satisfy a small cross-section of style seekers, and the heartbreak begins all over again.
For the past few years, most such collections topped out at a size 14 or XL (with a few scant 16s thrown in), so when Lane Bryant got in the game with a partnership with Isabel Toledo, we scored one for the plus-size community. And now, the retailer has announced its sophomore designer collaboration: Get ready for Lela Rose.
Staying true to her aesthetic, Rose's Lane Bryant designs are focused on feminine silhouettes, bold pops of color, and vibrant prints. “I felt strongly about taking certain colors and techniques that are signature to the Lela Rose collection and incorporating them into this capsule for Lane Bryant,” explained the New York designer. “For example, I love the citrine lace top — citrine is my favorite color!”
Not only is the collection filled with painterly shirts, fit-and-flare dresses, and the aforementioned citrine blouse, but it'll arrive just in time for summer 2015. See the styles in the slides to follow and start solidifying your shopping strategy now.
